Presenoldeb / Attendance
Mae presenoldeb yn elfen sylfaenol o lwyddiant academaidd a thwf personol. Mae presenoldeb rheolaidd yn sicrhau bod disgyblion yn cael eu hamlygu’n gyson i wersi, trafodaethau, a gweithgareddau ymarferol sy’n adeiladu eu gwybodaeth a’u medrau. Gall colli ysgol arwain at fylchau mewn dealltwriaeth, gan ei gwneud yn anoddach i ddisgyblion dal i fyny â’r cwricwlwm a pherfformio’n dda ar asesiadau. Y tu hwnt i fywyd academaidd, mae bod yn bresennol yn meithrin sgiliau bywyd pwysig fel cyfrifoldeb, rheoli amser ac ymrwymiad. Mae hefyd yn helpu disgyblion i adeiladu cysylltiadau cymdeithasol, datblygu sgiliau gwaith tîm, ac ymgysylltu â chymuned ddysgu gefnogol. Mae presenoldeb anghyson nid yn unig yn effeithio ar gyflawniad unigol ond gall hefyd amharu ar lif dysgu'r ystafell ddosbarth i eraill. O dan Ddeddf Addysg (1996), cyfrifoldeb y rhiant/gwarcheidwad yw sicrhau bod eu plentyn yn mynychu’r ysgol.

Attendance is a fundamental component of academic success and personal growth. Regular attendance ensures that pupils are consistently exposed to lessons, discussions, and hands-on activities that build their knowledge and skills. Missing school can result in gaps in understanding, making it harder for pupils to keep up with the curriculum and perform well on assessments. Beyond academics, being present fosters important life skills such as responsibility, time management, and commitment. It also helps pupils build social connections, develop teamwork abilities, and engage in a supportive learning community. Inconsistent attendance not only affects individual achievement but can also disrupt the flow of classroom learning for others. Under the Education Act (1996), it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that their child attends school.
